PathGuide Founder Honored by Alma Mater

PathGuide Technologies founder and former Intermec executive David Allais was honored by his alma mater, the University of Arizona, with a lifetime acheivement award, this past Friday, October 16th.

David earned two degrees from the University of Arizona, a bachelor’s of science, and a master’s of science. Later, at Stanford University, David picked up another M.S., as well as a PhD.

As noted in the story by the Arizona Star, Mr. Allais originally intended to begin a career in law, but (thankfully for us at PathGuide!), chose to pursue a degree in mechnical engineering instead. As a holder of several different patents, David is a well-known figure in the world of barcode technologies.

“Without David’s foresight and creativity, bar coding and automated data capture might never have evolved to become the essential, mission critical technology that it is today,” said University of Arizona College of Engineering Dean Jeff Goldberg.
